Maca Crushed consists of coarsely milled dried maca hypocotyl (Lepidium meyenii Walp.), the least-processed commercial form of the root. Cultivated above 3,800 meters in the Junín highlands of Peru, the hypocotyl is sun-dried post-harvest and then mechanically broken into irregular granules without any heat treatment. Primarily used in herbal infusions, tea blends, and functional filter bags where granulometry is commercially relevant.
